Matti Sanaksenaho (b.1966) founded Sanaksenaho Architects’ office in Helsinki 1991 together with Pirjo Sanaksenaho. He has won several prizes in architectural competitions nationally and internationally. Matti Sanaksenaho has been chief designer in over twenty realised buildings. Most important buildings are Finnish Pavilion in Sevilla world fair 1992 together with group Monark, The Studentcenter in Vaasa, St Henrys Ecumenical Art Chapel in Turku and The Student Health Care Building in Helsinki.
Matti Sanaksenaho was nominated Professor at Oulu University, Department of Architecture 2011. Matti Sanaksenaho has also been teaching and giving guest lectures in several universities and seminars in Europe, United States, Japan and China.
