Brasil Arquitetura Studio
Marcelo Ferraz (b.1955) graduated from the University of São Paulo School of Architecture and Urbanism in 1978. He is a principal of the practice Brasil Arquitetura Studio together with Franisco Fanucci. Created in 1979 Brasil Arquitetura Studio has realised a number of prize-winning projects both abroad and in Brazil, such as the Gelbes Viertel in Berlin, Germany, Rodin Museum in Salvador, Bahia, Villa Isabella in Hanko, Finland and Praça das Artes performing arts center, São Paulo, Brazil.
Ferraz is also co-founder and partner of the joinery Marcenaria Barauna, designing and manufacturing wooden furniture since 1986. He is professor at the Escola da Cidade School of Architecture in São Paulo and in 2006, he was visiting professor at Washington University in Saint Louis, USA.
